Tuition Assumptions
Your tuition reserves your weekly lesson time and membership within the studio. There will be no make-up lessons for cancellations made by students. Students are encouraged to participate in the Lesson Swap Program (below). Teacher cancellations will be made up.
Lesson Swap Program
Students may elect to participate in the lesson swap program. Should a scheduling conflict arise in which it is not possible to attend the regular lesson, a student may "swap" lessons with another student by:
First, calling and arranging with another student whose lesson occurs later in the same week to exchange lesson times for that week,
Then calling the studio to notify the instructor of the schedule change. The instructor must be notified no later than 24 hours prior to the FIRST rescheduled lesson.
The swap list is shared only with participants and will contain the following information: Student's first name, parent's first and last names, home phone number, and lesson day and time.
Performance Opportunities
All students are encouraged to participate in the annual Guild exams. Other opportunities to play include the Lois McCoy Fall Festival, LFMC Gold Cup Festival, Nathaniel Patch Piano Competition, LFMC Spring Recital, and The Lexington Bach Contest. You will receive more information in September of each year.
Other Information
It is important that students arrive on time and with all required materials. If the student arrives late, the remaining time will be used, but the lesson will not be extended past the regular endpoint.
Please park in the driveway. You may alternatively park directly across the street. Please do not park on the side of the street where the studio is located, as this side has "no-parking" signs posted.
Parents are welcome to wait in the room next to the studio during lessons. If you wish to have a visitor to the studio during a lesson, you must arrange the visit in advance by asking the instructor.
Enrollment and participation in this studio indicates agreement to and compliance with all studio goals, curricula and policies.
